Sharps disposal after Insulin injection

Sharps disposal
Insulin needles must be recapped after use and disposed of correctly and safely using an approved sharps container. These containers come in varying sizes and are available free of charge from your local council or community health centre. They can also be purchased at pharmacies or medical supply companies. Check with your local council or community health centre, as they will often supply, dispose and replace your sharps container free of charge.

•    It is handy to have a small sharps container to carry in your bag for day-to-day use
•    Keep a larger container at home into which you can transfer the contents from this smaller container once it is full
•    You would become your own expert!

Examples of sharps containers: Dailymag DMS-S0.1 (0.1L and DMS-K0.2 (0.2L)
